Activities
24/11/08
Epsilon Pi has recently developed several new activities, as well as revived some old traditions. Some of our newer endeavors include:
-
Musical Cure
Musical Cure is a music therapy program that was developed by a local medical school student in 2004. Since his graduation, Epsilon Pi’s Outreach Committee has taken the reins to coordinate monthly performances local residential care facilities and hospitals. Volunteers not only from ΣAI, but from all over the Truman campus are welcome to participate. Dates can be found on any bulletin board in Ophelia Parrish
-
Midwest StringFest
StringFest was developed in the spring of 2004 in response to the lack of strings education in the Northeast Missouri area. Since then, it has become an annual activity that gives local young string players the chance to meet other talented young violinists, violists, cellists, bassists, and even guitarists from the Midwest. It is a two-day event filled with concerts, demonstrations, and workshops. Visiting groups from nearby areas such as Iowa, Kansas, and other portions of Missouri are welcome to come.

Alumnae Card Drive
The Alumnae Card Drive was started in the spring of 2007 as a way to reconnect with Epsilon Pi Alum that now live all over the US. Currently, we are in the process of sending hand-written letters to each alumna individually, in hopes that we can receive an update on all the wonderful things these ladies have been doing since they’ve left Northeast/Truman. We have received several responses so far, and we greatly enjoy learning about the past of our chapter firsthand. If you are an alumna of Epsilon Pi and have not received a hand written letter, it may be that we don’t have your most current contact information on file. Please help us to update our files and get your letter in the mail by filling out the member update form!
